Local photographer, Greg Reely, wins first place in TAGO Poster Contest

Osoyoos photographer Greg Reely is the first-place winner of the 2025 Poster Contest at The Art Gallery Osoyoos. The announcement was made Wednesday, January 8.
The image was selected by a panel of outside judges, who also considered other submissions by local artists. The judges did not know the identities of the artists when they made their decision. An exhibition of the entries opens Thursday, January 9 at the gallery and runs until Saturday, February 1, 2025.
There is a poster-signing event on Saturday, Jan. 18 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the gallery.
Local artists were invited to submit artworks on the theme of, “Artist Inspired Osoyoos.”
The public is invited to vote for a People’s Choice Award during the exhibition.
Second place went to Keith Prestone, of Quesnel, and third place went to Osoyoos painter Barbara Freese. In total, 21 submissions were received, with some artists submitting more than one piece.
The gallery is now on non-summer hours and is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday.
The gallery is located at 8713 Main St. in Osoyoos, B.C., just west of Town Hall.
