The Artists on Main are square this month — literally.
The Osoyoos-based painters’ group opened their new exhibition, “The Square Foot Show,” at The Art Gallery Osoyoos on Wednesday, March 5. The show runs until Saturday, March 29.
All works in the show are done on panels measuring one foot square, and include paintings and mixed media. There’s even a piece made into the face of a clock.
Once again, the opening event coincides with the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, March 7, which also includes participation by The Okanagan Art Gallery, Wayside Books & Art, as well as the Osoyoos & District Museum. All events are free. Visitors may drop in between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Artists on Main Osoyoos welcomes both accomplished artists and those who are newer to painting and wish to improve. They meet at Studio 89 above the gallery and have about 70 members.
The gallery is open non-summer hours, Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
It is located at 8713 Main St. in Osoyoos, B.C., just west of Town Hall.
