THE ART GALLERY OSOYOOS

“A Community Gallery For Creative People”

Photographer Greg Reely teams with wood and resin artist Dave Brewin for TAGO show

Dave Brewin displays his wood and resin pieces in the middle of the back room while Greg Reely’s photographs hang on the walls.

Two local artists have teamed up for the September exhibition at The Art Gallery Osoyoos (TAGO) which launched a soft opening on Wednesday, Sept. 3. The show is titled Lens & Lathe and it runs until Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025.

Osoyoos Photographer Greg Reely is showing photographs, many on canvas or metal, of the beauty and drama of landscapes, night skies and local wildlife.

Wood turner Dave Brewin, of Keremeos, literally turns reclaimed materials into art, spinning interesting wood on his lathe and complementing it with often-colourful resins and other items.

TAGO will once again be participating in the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, Sept. 5, which also includes participation by The Okanagan Art Gallery, Wayside Books & Art, as well as the Osoyoos & District Museum. All events are free. Visitors may drop in between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Both artists have other commitments that night, but will instead be holding a “meet the artist” event on Friday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the gallery.

Reely is president of the Osoyoos Photography Club and he also has a long career in the music business as a recording engineer and producer. He’s also a drummer for local bands the Yard Katz from Penticton and The Kristi Neumann Band from Oliver.

The gallery is open non-summer hours, Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

It is located at 8713 Main St. in Osoyoos, B.C., just west of Town Hall.
