Rachael Gurevitch opens exhibit at TAGO

A Wet Run

Cawston-based painter Rachael Gurevitch is opening an exhibition at The Art Gallery Osoyoos (TAGO) which launches on Wednesday, Feb. 4. The show is titled Away We Go and it runs until Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.

Born in Cochise County, Arizona and raised in the Similkameen Valley, Gurevitch also spent much time growing up in Montreal, where she learned about art from her grandmother, an oil painter.

She is self taught and developed a distinctive recognizable style inspired by personal exploration of ritual, symbolism, nature, the elements, entities and self reflection.

TAGO will once again be participating in the First Friday Art Walk on Friday, Feb. 6 The walk also includes The Osoyoos Museum, Wayside Select Books & Art, The Okanagan Art Gallery, Century 21 Pop-Up Art, and for the first time, Backroads Brewing. The brewery features music from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is also showing art.

All events are free. Visitors may drop in between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The gallery is open non-summer hours, Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.

It is located at 8713 Main St. in Osoyoos, B.C., just west of Town Hall.
