The Art Gallery Osoyoos (TAGO) kicked off its Summer Artisan Market on Thursday, June 25, and the popular event runs until Monday, August 31.
The show features the work of more than 30 artists and artisans. Items include many affordable crafts, as well as paintings, pottery and photography that should appeal to visitors and locals alike.
Hours are also extended for the summer with the gallery open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
As usual, TAGO will be participating in the First Friday Art Walk, held on the first Friday of each month and including a number of galleries and other venues. The July event is July 3 and the August event is August 7, both from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free, and there’s often an opportunity to meet the artists and artisans.
Besides TAGO, other galleries and venues include Best Cellars Bistro & Books, Artists on Main (upstairs from TAGO), The Osoyoos District Museum, Century 21 Pop-Up Art Show, Wayside Select Books & Art, The Okanagan Art Gallery, Wide Arts Gallery, and Backroads Brewing.
The gallery is located at 8713 Main St. in Osoyoos, B.C., just west of Town Hall.
